The full power and beauty of the rare black leopard is depicted in this striking painting. The challenging and attractive subject matter inspired the artist to create this powerful work following a sighting on a safari in Africa. Spencer Hodge wished to push himself to his artistic limits in painting the dark coat of the leopard whilst interpreting the varying colours of light falling on its fur and markings. At the time, this was the most challenging painting he had ever attempted.Limited Edition Print of 395 individually hand-numbered copies, each of which is signed by the artist.
